Break your own Geodes

Let each student in your classroom be an archeologist with this fun science activity. Place a geode in a bag or sock and hit it firmly with a hammer  (not included) to break open. Each 1" - 2" geode has a center that may contain colored rock or sparkling crystals. What treasure will you find?  Bulk packed - no retail packaging - each bag has about 8-12 geodes. Adult supervision required.
